Very nice white flesh.
Habitat
Occasionally seen on remote reefs commonly caught in deep “grouper” holes.

Fishing
Fishing on deep water reefs is the most common place to find new “holes” to catch grouper. If caught in shallow water where its swim bladder can’t inflate it will put up a very good fight.

Spearfishing
Occasionally seen by spearfishermen. If you ever did happen to stumble upon a grouper cave or hole it would be wise to keep the location under wraps as they are a highly sort after fish.
