Hen and Chicken Islands

Fishing
The islands provide great areas for burleying up snapper and stray lining for large snapper. The weed lines are also prime territory for john dory. during the warmer months the points are good for kingfish and kahawai.

Scuba diving
A great place for a scenic dive. A lot of crayfish to gather too. Try drift diving through one of the channels at mid tide.

 

Spearfishing
A great location for spearfishing, with New Zealand boarfish and snapper records taken here. The country is good for snooping as well as having lots of interesting weed lines. The islands are also a great location to get crayfish.
