Tarakihi

Nemadactylus macropterus
Habitat
In shallow the best place to find them is on the weed edge. Also found when fishing for grouper, a fish that is usually a meter or so off the bottom.


Spearfishing
Nothing beats diving on a weed line with a decent burley going and tarakihi schooling around everywhere. The hardest thing is normally finding the larger members of the school.
