Jasons Nudibranch

The top of the south area is often considered a mixing ground of southern and northern species, with kingfish, snapper and trevally during the warmer months as well as good blue cod populations, shallow terakihi and trumpeter like the environments further south.

The area also has a very wide range of underwater environments to choose from such as the sandy bays of the Abel Tasman, the kelp forests of Tory Channel and the rocky points in Stephens Passage.

The main areas are:
Abel Tasman                            East Tasman Bay
LastinghamD'Urville Island                        Pelorus Sound
Queen Charlotte Sound
            Kaikoura

Boatramps and Beaches.
