Habitat
Found in both shallow waters and deep waters, in shallow it is normally found schooling with blue moki. Out in deeper water, it is found near hapuka grounds.
Eating
A nice firm eating fish.

Commonly found from Cook Strait south. the further south you get the more common they tend to be.
